The Balearian Boc, also known as the Mallorcan Wild Goat, is a rare trophy found on the island of Mallorca. This species is recognized by Safari Club International and is included in the Grand Slam 20 goats that may be hunted.

The Balearian Boc is part of the Capra World Slam and is one of the most distinctive Mediterranean goat trophies. Not every goat hunted in Mallorca is automatically accepted as a Balearian Boc, so selecting an approved trophy is essential.

Although the hunt can be organized year-round, accommodation prices may increase during the high tourist season from May to October.

Stalking in the Tramuntana Mountains

Stalking is the hunting modality used for Balearian Boc in the Tramuntana Mountains. The hunt consists of searching for the animal, locating a suitable trophy and then making a silent approach before the shot.

The Sierra Tramuntana extends along the north-west coast of Mallorca, from the Formentor Peninsula to Dragonera Island near Sant Elm. This mountain chain is approximately 90 km long and offers rugged Mediterranean terrain, pine and oak woodland, reed areas and spectacular coastal landscapes.

    TERMS FOR BOOKING AND CANCELLATIONS

    Licenses, Payments and Hunting Conditions

    To confirm your Balearian Boc hunting booking, a deposit of 50% of the hunt cost is required, including the basic cost and trophy fees. The remaining balance must be paid no later than 60 days before the hunting date.

    Trophy measurement is carried out “en verde” in the field. Injured animals that cannot be found are considered taken and must be paid for by the hunter.

    In normal weather conditions, Balearian Boc hunts have a very high success rate. If weather conditions prevent a successful hunt, or if the expected trophy is not found during the hunt, the hunting license may be kept and the hunter may return during the following two years, paying only the Spanish hunting license and insurance, plus the corresponding daily rates.

    Mallorca is a very popular tourist destination. During the high season, from May to October, accommodation prices may increase. If the hunt is booked during this period, IberHunting will inform the hunter about coastal accommodation prices.
