We continued this hunting in Sierra Nevada Ibex and the sightseeing with Grand Slam. Tina, always accompanied by our guide of Iberhunting Mercedes, and Kelley, had the opportunity to discover the city of Lorca. A place known as the “Baroque city” thanks to the important Baroque monuments in its historic centre. Our first visit was the castle, where we toured all its history in places like its “Alfonsina tower” or the “Synagogue”. Because, excavations in the medieval Lorca castle revealed that this place housed the city’s Jewish quarter.

During the afternoon, it was the turn to visit Lorca center. First, The church of St.Patick, placed under the patronage of Saint Patrick (patron saint of Ireland) in remembrance and commemoration of the victory achieved in the Battle of the Alporchones, fought by the people of Lorca against the Muslims on March 17, 1452. Second, we visited the “Palacete Huerto Ruano” where the interior of the building is spectacular and the exterior is decorated with beautiful gardens, water fountains and sculptures. Finally, we finish this sightseeing in Lorca with the “tapas” in a restaurant with a traditional spanish gastronomy, but with jewels of the Murcian and Spanish territory.

And we finish the great area of shopping in Lorca.

Tourism for Ronda Ibex

It was the moment to move to the South of Spain. We traveled to the province of Malaga where you can find the Spanish Ibex of Ronda. In this Area, our protagonist Tina continues her tourism in Ronda. Our first visit was to one of the most beautiful and famous “pueblos blancos” (white villages) of this province: Frigiliana. The marvelous whitewashed houses here transmit peace and take you back to the Middle Age. Built around beautiful narrow streets, most of these are somewhat steep.

With a population of approximately 3,000 inhabitants, the Villa of Frigiliana is discovered overlooking the Mediterranean, in the Natural Park of the Sierras de Almijara, Tejeda and Alhama. It was quite an experience to walk through white streets and discover the shops of this town classified as one of the most beautiful in Spain.

Continuing this great day, we went to Velez Malaga for “tapas”. A place where the municipality has also a good number of religious monuments and buildings of interest and is declared a Historic Site.

Finally, we ended the day visit the sea in Torre del Mar. This town was once a fishing and agricultural village which has transformed itself into a major tourist destination on the eastern Costa del Sol.

Finishing the Grand Slam in Mallorca island

To finish this great Spanish Grand Slam Tina and Bill went to Mallorca island. After a morning hunting the Boc Balearean we could enjoy the island for some sightseeing. The “Faro de Formentor” it is a mandatory visit, the viewpoints give us stunning panoramic and breathtaking coves. At lunchtime we enjoyed a delicious paella all together in Puerto Pollensa.

The day after we made a visit to a winery in Mortitx and enjoyed a wine tasting. At Mortitx, there are around 1000.000 acres of vines, from which they elaborate around 100.000 bottles of new wine annually, and also different types of wine including white, rosés and reds.
